This is the workshop  project that I will do  at
Calgary School of Art  { Cactus Art Supply }

Size 12x12 .   Oils  or   Acrylic  on canvas or board.

Materials that are needed can been purchased at the
School.
Brushes:   quarter in , half in  , palette knife

Paints : Titanium White, Black, Sap Green , Thalo Green light,Viridian Geen , French Ultramarine , Thalo Blue, Cad  Orange, Cad Yellow Light

Other Material and Paints :    Black Gesso ,   Transparent Red Iron Oxide{Acrylic} , 6B pencil , Matt finish, Small
 containers for water and one for cleaning oils ,  Paper towels.

 Max 15 students ,  classes fill fast .     So regester soon!

My First Studio Showing

Rick Berg Studio - Art Show and Sale

Sat, November 19th - 29th, 2010

A couple of years ago I began construction on my new studio.  It's located at the back of my house - a good space for doing workshops and teaching.   The space is 24 x 29 feet.  Today I'm having my first show and sale in my new space.  

Here are a couple of photos of the set up....hope it's pleasing to everyone.  I'll post a few of my paintings for the show above.

STARTING MY BLOG.....

I can't believe that I'm actually considering starting a blog.   But, here goes....wish me luck!

"Dog Pound Creek", 30x40, oil on canvas

This is a creek where I go fishing sometimes.   It's just west of my place about 30 miles.  I was inspired to do this painting when I was scouting out the creek one day.  If you look under the log you'll see a small Rainbow Trout.
